Aluminium Week 2008

Aluminium Week 2008ICAA 11 is run in parallel to the ALUMINIUM trade fair to be held from 23 to 25 Sept in Essen about 80 km away from the ICAA 11 venue. This prominent fair has become the world’s No. 1 meeting place for the aluminium industry and its applications. It covers the entire value chain of the aluminium production and processing. In conjunction with the 7th World Trade Fair ALUMINIUM 2008, DGM will resume organising an international conference, following the very successful conference held in 2006.

The ALUMINIUM Conference 2008 is run in Essen about 80 km away from the venue of the ICAA11. On Wednesday, the lecture programme of the ICAA will be interrupted to allow attendees to visit the world's leading trade fair for the global aluminium industry in Essen and to attend the technical presentations of its conference. Inversely, visitors of the trade fair and conference in Essen are welcome to attend the lecture programme of ICAA11 at any time.

The ALUMINIUM Conference 2008 will cover a compact one day programme preferrably based on industry related presentations. Presentations will start on 24 Sept at 9:00 h, and will end at 17:10 h. Participants of the conference ICAA11 have free access to the Aluminium Conference. For organisational reasons, we, however, require a proper registration. On 24 Sept, a shuttle bus will take the ICAA11 attendees from Aachen to Essen, and at the end of the Aluminium conference they will be transferred by bus directly back to Aachen to join the ICAA11 conference dinner.

ICAA 11 together with the ALUMINIUM 2008 Trade Fair and Exhibition and the ALUMINIUM Conference 2008 are hence representing a comprehensive manifestation on this expanding industrial sector forming in fact a true "Aluminium Week 2008".
