Dresden is not just a centre of German materials science and engineering. With over 2,500 researchers in 19 research organisations, Dresden is also at the forefront internationally!
Numerous solutions to the urgent problems of our age are developed here, as these have one thing in common: be it energy, mobility, environment, security or health - progress will only be made through innovations in the area of materials and production technology. The rapid progress in this area can naturally not be achieved single-handedly by individual researchers or institutes.
Here is where the Dresden DGM Regional Forum comes into play. It sees itself, following the central guidelines of the DGM regarding all regional forums throughout Germany, as a central event and communications platform. It supports and perpetuates the regular exchange between science and industry and creates stable networks.
