The 20th symposium on „Composites 2015” will take place in Vienna and offers several opportunities for review and outlook. The conference is themed “2-20-200”, emphasizing the coincidence of three anniversaries:
“2”: it is the second time that TU Vienna hosts this symposium. The previous event in 2003 attained an all-time high in number of participants and was perfectly organized by Prof. H.-P. Degischer and his team. It is a motivating challenge for the current organizing committee to reach or even surpass this number and level of organization!
“20”: it is the 20th symposium on composites hosted in German-speaking countries since 1992.
“200”: the Vienna University of Technology was founded in 1815 as k.k. Polytechnisches Institut (Imperial and Royal Polytechnical Institute) and will therefore celebrate its 200th anniversary in 2015.
The symposium brings together experts active in all aspects of composite materials. Amongst these is the concept of tailor-made materials and their implementation. Composite materials are used in numerous high-tech applications and products and offer further potential for increased efficiency.
The official conference language is German, however, papers in English are welcome anytime!
Deadline for the submission of abstracts: 30 September 2014.
This international, interdisciplinary symposium is intended to stimulate future innovations by specific problem-solving models as well as speed up the technical learning curve in different fields of applications. “Composites 2015” is organized by “Gemeinschaftsausschuss Verbundwerkstoffe (GAV)” of the German Materials Society (DGM) together with Vienna University of Technology (TUW), Austria and will be held in Vienna from July 1st to 3rd, 2015. The organizing committee invites the professional world to submit contributions in the respective main thematic areas for oral and poster presentations that represent the current state of the art on composite materials.
