Born in 1964, Oliver Kraft has been working as a professor and head of today’s Institute for Applied Materials of KIT since 2002. In 2011, Kraft was granted the Professorship for Nanostructured Functional Materials funded by the Bosch Group. From 2012 to 2015, he was one of the spokespersons of the Helmholtz Programme Science and Technology of Nanosystems (STN). On January 01, 2016, Kraft started activity as Vice President for Research. Prof Dr. Kraft is member of the DGM since 1989.
In 2016 he was already involved to the MSE Congress as coordinator of the “USA-Germany Networking Symposium”. At that time he was past president of the MRS - Materials Research Society and involved in the collaboration of MRS and DGM.
For the upcoming MSE congress in 2018 he is a member of the Scientific Committee.
